Gareth Malone - Locus Iste

Join us to sing a brand new piece written for the Stay At Home Choir

About The Project

Hello and welcome! The Stay At Home Choir is an online music-making community, running virtual choir projects which have allowed more than 23,000 amateur singers from around the world to meet and collaborate with their favourite artists over the internet.

Being a part of your wonderful online singing community is SUCH a massive help and comfort. It is utterly amazing to be a (tiny!) part of this incredible effort and just wanted to say thank you for all that you do to ensure that we continue to sing together.

Sioban, US

We've collaborated with The King's Singers, The Swingles, John Rutter, Sir Karl Jenkins, VOCES8, conductor Marin Alsop and the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra... and for our next project, we're thrilled to be welcoming the UK's favourite choirmaster, Gareth Malone!

The joy and enthusiasm is so infectious, it is wonderful! And living in a remote village, the choir gives me the chance to sing music in a choir that I otherwise wouldn't be able to.
Ann, UK

And even more excitingly, we can now announce that Gareth has written a brand new song especially for the Stay At Home Choir! His fantastic piece is a new setting of the beautiful Locus Iste, which we'll perform together in a worldwide premiere.

Rehearsals for Locus Iste with Gareth Malone will start in April - we can't wait to see you there!

Registration for this project is Pay-As-You-Feel, but we suggest a contribution of £16, or more if you're able, to access the Locus Iste events, resources, and submissions portal.

For me being part of the SAHC community, meeting all those crazy, inspiring, wonderful and musical people from all over the world is something that I never had thought I would ever experience. And look where we are now!! What an achievement!! What a joy!! What a hell of a lot of fun and happiness.
